Our work with ISO 14001: why environmental responsibility is an integral part of our business
Environmental sustainability is a natural part of how we at Rely IT run our business. As a technology company, we have a responsibility to work in a structured, long-term and conscious way to reduce our environmental impact. As both the outside world and the demands of customers and partners change, our environmental work also needs to be clear, followable and anchored in everyday life.
That's why we are certified to ISO 14001 (see our certificate in environment), which is an internationally recognised standard for systematic environmental management. Contact us at if you are interested in seeing our environmental policy.

Why ISO 14001?
The background to our environmental management system is based on several drivers:
Taking responsibility for our environmental impact
We want to take clear responsibility for the environmental impact of our activities. Through a structured environmental management system, we can identify, monitor and reduce our impact in a controlled and long-term way.
Sustainability as part of the business
Environmental and sustainability requirements are becoming increasingly important in business relationships. For us, ISO 14001 is a way to ensure that the environmental perspective is integrated into our decisions, processes and priorities - not as a sideline, but as an integral part of our business.
Peace of mind for customers and partners
The certification makes it clear that we work according to an established standard and that our environmental work is continuously monitored, evaluated and improved
How we built our environmental management system in practice
When we developed our environmental management system, the starting point was the same as in much of our improvement work: it had to work in everyday life. The focus was on creating clear, relevant and useful ways of working without building up unnecessary administration.
The work was done in collaboration between different parts of the organisation. By involving several roles and perspectives, we could ensure that the environmental work was anchored in real working methods and did not remain at document level.
We focused in particular on:
- Integrate environmental work into existing processes
- Clarify responsibilities and working methods
- Working preventively and improving step by step
- Ensuring that environmental work is relevant to the whole organisation
The result is an environmental management system that is easy to understand, simple to work with and clearly linked to how we run our business.
A shared responsibility
As with other management systems, it is not the documents that make the difference but the people who work under them. Environmental work is a shared responsibility in which all employees play an important role. We encourage engagement, suggestions for improvement and ideas in our daily work and see the environmental management system as a support to make better decisions, both big and small.
What does ISO 14001 mean for our customers?
For our customers, ISO 14001 certification brings tangible benefits:
- A supplier with a structured and long-term environmental programme
- Clear procedures to minimise environmental impact
- Continuous monitoring and improvement
- A safe and sustainable partner to work with
ISO 14001 is an important part of how we take responsibility for the future. It is the basis for a continuous improvement process where we develop our business with care for both the environment and our business relationships.
