IT operations with overall responsibility for Campus Roslagen’s
Roslagen Campus has an extensive IT environment comprising computers, mobile devices, networks, Microsoft 365 and a local data centre with both physical and virtual servers. With a small in-house IT organisation, there was a need for a long-term IT operations partner who could take responsibility for day-to-day operations whilst also providing specialist expertise.
Rely IT took over IT operations from a previous supplier and is now responsible for large parts of the technical IT environment.
IT operations and support with a single point of responsibility
Rely IT is responsible for day-to-day IT operations, maintenance and IT support, as well as the development of Campus Roslagen’s IT environment. The scope of the contract includes, amongst other things:
- Servers, clients and mobile devices
- Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID
- Microsoft Intune and device management
- networks and firewalls
- backup and recovery
- IT security and access management
- Service desk and licence management
A designated technician works on site at Campus Roslagen on a regular basis. When additional expertise is required, Rely IT is on hand service desk and specialists on hand.
This enables the in-house IT department to retain control over the business’s priorities, whilst at the same time giving the organisation access to a broader IT organisation.
A more secure and modern IT environment
Since Rely IT took over responsibility, the IT environment has been developed through a number of projects. The server environment has been upgraded, the network modernised, and Microsoft Intune has begun to be rolled out to improve the control and management of devices.
IT security has also been strengthened through improved access control, multi-factor authentication, security awareness training and enhanced email security using SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
Backup of both the server environment and Microsoft 365 is included in the service, along with regular tests to ensure that data can be recovered.

This collaboration has provided Campus Roslagen with more structured and secure IT operations, whilst also supporting the internal IT department in its day-to-day work.
